The first step is to check the material used to make your roller blind. This determines whether you will wash the roller blind or spot clean it. You can confirm this from your local blind supplier if you are not sure about the material.

Washing the roller blinds

It is simple to clean the blinds in case the fabric of your roller blinds are washable. Start by giving them a vacuum to eliminate any dirt and dust.

The next step is to remove the blind from the roller and place it down on the floor.

Vacuum the blind using the brush attachment on the vacuum.

Half fill warm water in a bathtub, then add a gentle laundry detergent and lower the blind in it.

Allow the blind to soak for some time and loosen any embedded dirt,

Get rid of the remaining dirt by wiping it with a cloth or a soft sponge.

Use a toothbrush to scrub stains.

Use clean water to rinse the blind and empty soapy water in the bathtub and refill it again with clean water.

Rinse the blind until there is no any trace of soap. Lay the blind outside on a clothing line, or a clothe horse and let it dry. You can attach the blind to the roller again and re-hang it.

Sometimes roller blinds might not withstand being washed. You will have to spot clean them. Spot cleaning is cleaning visibly dirty areas only.

Begin with vacuuming the blinds as mentioned above to get rid of the surface dust.

Mix warm water with laundry detergent and use it as a cleaning agent.

Always test it on an inconspicuous spot to ensure that it doesn’t change the color or destroy the blinds.

Clean the dirty spots using a toothbrush or a sponge. If you like, you can clean the whole blind but in bits one at a time. Don’t over wet it. Finally, use clean water to rinse it. If you were trying to find out how to clean roman blinds, this is the way it is done.

Stepping out of the industry four years ago and moving interstate to expand a frozen yoghurt chain that has gone from 1 to 4 stores in the time he has been involved. This was recently sold to Made Group. Real estate has always been in his blood and it was a natural fit to start Bricks + Agent given the amount of insight he has into the industry as a whole. Having seen how all different forms of traditional marketing was used to the direction that it is now heading today, we think we have come up with a truly unique proposition that fits into the current state of the property maintenance market.
